Infrared Pothole Repair System - now available.
After extensive research into Infrared Pothole repairs,Gavin Lawrie Surfacing are delighted to announce the launch of their all new infrared road repair system.
This innovative method of repairing damaged road surfaces has been extensively used in the U.S.A for over 15 years.
February 2010 saw the arrival of the Infrared machines,we had manufactured by our business partner in the states,for use in the U.K market.
How the Infrared Process Works:
1.The damaged area of road surface is identified and marked out.
2.The Infrared heater is manouvered into place above the area to be repaired.
3.The surface is heated for 5-10 mins to a temperature of 180 degress c
4.The heater is removed and the bituminous surface is now able to be worked by asphalt rake.
5.The Tarmax rejuvenator is sprayed onto and worked into the re-graded material
6.Fresh Bituminous material is added to bring the surface level with the existing good pavement surface
7.The area is compacted by approved vibratory roller
8.The completed seamless repair is now sealed with Tarmax emulsion and is now ready for traffic.
