<p>Gavin Lawrie Surfacing Ltd was founded in 1972 by Gordon McKellar as a separate
division of the already established Gavin Lawrie Group.</p>
<p>Based at Hallyards Quarry, Dundonald, a Tarmacadam Coating Plant was installed
supplying coated roadstone to the building trade throughout Ayrshire.</p>
<p>Our Contracting Division quickly established a reputation for delivering quality
asphalt and bitumen macadam contracts to private and commercial customers with
a guarantee of a job that will stand the test of time.</p>
<p>Today our new computerised coated roadstone mixing plant with on-site materials
testing laboratory and teams of fully experienced paving crews ensures our customers
old and new that they will receive a high level of service hard to find within
the asphalt industry.</p>

<p>Gavin Lawrie Surfacing Ltd employs three asphalt paving crews on contracts
throughout the west coast of Scotland.</p>
<p>Supported by a fleet of modern paving and compaction equipment and with our
paving crews having many years experiences within our company, our company has
established a long client list who are assured will receive a guarantee of quality
every time.</p>

<p>Gavin Lawrie (Surfacing) Ltd was appointed authorised Streetprint contractors
for the West Coast of Scotland in March 2000.</p>
<p>With Streetprint having surpassed concrete block paving as the preferred decorative
paving system in North America, Gavin Lawrie (Surfacing) Ltd expect similar
inroads in Scotland as customers realise the benefits of this revolutionary
method of imprinting freshly laid asphalt with a traditional cobblestone pattern.</p>
<p>Streetprint's no seam design makes it well suited to the vagaries of the British
climate, preventing water ingress, colour fading, oil spill damage and weed/moss
infestation, all problems associated with concrete block paving.</p>
<p>The availability of detailed patterns in a variety of rich natural colours
offers the Streetprint customer unprecedented design flexibility to suit any
application from traditional to modern.</p>

<p>Streetprint uses the proven qualities of asphalt as its base. The asphalt is
then coated with Streetbond surfacing system to colour and fortify the surface.
Streetbond combines polymer and cement technologies to achieve an exceptional
combination of durability, curing characteristics, performance properties and
natural appearance.</p>
<p>Fast installation of the Streetprint surface means minimum of disruption to
traffic. Streetprint is up to ten times faster to install than concrete blocks.</p>
<p>Maintenance is easy with Streetprint, the continuous surface structure prevents
trip hazards occurring and the Streetbond coating has high skid and slip resistance
resulting in a very safe surface for all traffic. Easy to repair an invisible
repair can be achieved should surface excavations be necessary.</p>

<p>Our Parker Asphalt plant is situated in Hallyards Quarry, Old Loans Road, Troon,
producing the full range of bitumen macadam and asphalt products complying with
current British standards.</p>

<p>Bitumen Macadams : 6mm D.B.M - 20mm D.B.M</p>
<p>Asphalts : Sand Carpet, H.R.A 30%, H.R.A 15%</p>
<p>Coated Chippings : 20mm P.C.C, 14mm P.C.C. (whinstone or granite)</p>
